Curling in July at Miniota

28th Miniota Shirtsleeve Classic weekend very successful

Miniota’s 28th Shirtsleeve Classic was held over the July 19 - July 21 weekend with lots of activities for everyone. Drawmaster Bob Gardham along with Duncan Lelond and crew created the unique July curling ice experience.

On the scenic nine-hole golf course, some 64 golfers teed off. The car rally had people touring around the Miniota rural area, and a 5 km Fun Colour Run brought about 100 participants to the streets of Miniota.

Kids events included Movie Night, Valley Recreation activities and the Fireman’s Rodeo.

Community suppers were well attended both nights and a crowd danced the night away with the live band, Kitchen Party (Winnipeg) playing on Saturday evening.
