Elkhorn took the brunt of a storm over the weekend. Sunday night, July 12, and into Monday morning, wind sent trees toppling leaving yards littered with trees, limbs and branches, but there were no injuries reported.
Elkhorn resident, Ed Clayton, reported his rain gauge registered two-and-a-half inches, he added, “Another rain gauge four blocks away registered one-and-a-half inches. So much wind it’s hard to say how much we got. No hail fortunately.”
There was damage to at least one vehicle and Manitoba Hydro had repair work to do.
