Virden Empire-Advance's busy newsroom celebrated Christmas by setting aside duties Thursday afternoon, Dec. 20 and hanging out together enjoying snacks and games.
Games of Yahtzee, canasta, cribbage and Jitters provided the fiercely competitive battleground (that's an exaggeration) and a great opportunity to visit.
Secret Santa dropped in too with some cool gifts.
But the paper must go on, and it was back to work Friday morning to finish up the weekly details, including getting the newspaper out to the public.
The next paper is also underway - the Dec. 28th edition.
