FLB Board meeting brief, staffing news

Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees Monday, April 12, 2021

The Superintendent of Schools, Secretary-Treasurer and Supervisor of Operations presented their reports to the Board of Trustees. The Board considered several staffing resolutions along with a resolution to approve the 2021-2022 school calendar from the Superintendent of Schools report.

The Board of Trustees reviewed the minutes of the Negotiations Committee meetings that were held on April 5th and April 12th, 2021. Two resolutions came from these minutes approving the Supervisor of Operations employment contract and the agreement-in-committee with the Fort la Bosse Teachers’ Association.

The following resolutions were moved and passed unanimously.

Board of Trustees appoint Tracy Ramsey as School Principal for the Virden Junior High School commencing Sept. 7, 2021; and approves the 1.0 FTE Teacher General Agreement for Tracy Ramsey.

Board of Trustees accept, with regret, the letter of resignation from Esther Finlay effective June 30th, 2021.

Board of Trustees approves the 0.83 FTE request for Leave of Absence for Cassandra Jago commencing Sept. 1st, 2021, concluding Sept. 6th, 2022.

Board of Trustees approves the 1.0 FTE request for Leave of Absence for Kalee Nolan commencing June 16th, 2021, concluding Sept. 6th, 2022

The Board also approves:

·         school calendar for the 2021-2022 school year as presented at the March 22 Board meeting.

·         3-year petroleum and natural gas lease with Prairie Land and Investments Inc.

·         purchase of 14 HP Chromebooks from Powerland Computers at a total cost of $5,134.78 plus applicable taxes.

·         Supervisor of Operations employment contract effective July 1, 2021
