Who should get the shot

PMH recommends the flu vaccine for everyone over six months of age. However, immunization is especially important for those at increased risk of serious illness or complications from the flu, their caregivers and close contacts.

If you are 65 or older, or you’re at increased risk of pneumococcal infection, you may also need a pneumococcal vaccination. Please talk to your health care provider.

Remember to bring your Manitoba Health card and your Immunization Card(s) to the clinics, and wear short sleeves if possible.

Depending where you live, appointments may be preferred. You can call the toll-free line (1-877-646-3888) to make your appointment if one is recommended in your community.
