Jim Eng receives Mayor’s Volunteer Service Award

 Congratulations to Mr. Jim Eng of Winnipeg (formerly of Reston) who received the Mayor’s Volunteer Service Award. City of Winnipeg Mayor Brian Bowman invited nominations of deserving individuals or community groups for the Mayor’s Service Awards. The Mayor’s Service Awards were created to honour individuals, agencies and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the City of Winnipeg through volunteer service. Jim Eng humbly accepted his award on Sunday, January 26 at the Kum Koon Garden Restaurant in Winnipeg.

 “Volunteers are key to a strong community,” said Mayor Brian Bowman. “Their generosity in providing time, talents, skills, and goodwill not only helps build a stronger city, but also makes Winnipeg a place we can all be proud to call home.”

 Jim received recognition for his work with the Variety Club of Manitoba, United Way, Juvenile Diabetes Researchers Foundation, CIBC Children’s Miracle Foundation, Manitoba Arts Council, Manitoba Arts Council Foundation, Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs – Winnipeg Chapter, Chinese Cultural and Community Centre to name a few.

 Jim is presently employed with MD Financial Management and lives in Winnipeg with his wife Ina and their two children – Adam and Madison.
