Virden Lions Club Journey for Sight, held Jan. 19, was a successful fundraiser again this winter. The club collected $2,050 from 35 individual donations, plus Virden Lions also donated $1,000 from their club, totalling a $3,050 donation to Journey for Sight.
Still future, the prize draw for the snowmobile will take place in Birtle, later in February.
While the snow machines didn’t travel due to a scarcity of snow in ditches in the north section of the ride, a representative from Journey for Sight was on hand in Virden.
