Dear Editor,

Whilst driving through Virden recently I was appalled to see postal workers picketing as a part of the ongoing rotating postal workers strike. I thought that this was a scene from 1970’s Great Britain.

They should think their selves lucky that they have work.

How dare they refuse to work and disrupt the activities and lives of people around them, especially just as the Christmas rush starts. This is another classic example of how union activity continues to disrupt business and makes western countries uncompetitive.

No one has the right to go on strike and these picketers should be fired on the spot and replaced with people who want a job.

It is time for Canada Post management to get their employees disciplined, replace unruly employees, prevent union membership in their workforce and get the mail moving again!

Sincerely,

Jason Hooper, Elkhorn, Man.
