Lance Barkley of Virden has worked up a strong service industry as LRB Electric Ltd.

Whether you’re installing air conditioning, a fireplace, a network or any other function in your home or business, for that, there’s LRB Electric.

Lance R. Barkley, the name behind LRB Electric Ltd., has built an exceptional business from his career start with Jack Cameron at J. Cameron Electric. Barkley worked for Cameron from 1996 – 2002 and then purchased the company, changing the name to LRB.

Lance is married to Jamie Barkley and they’re proud parents to their daughter Hayley. The Barkley’s participate in Virden community life, giving back in many ways.

Barkley talks about LRB’s growth. “Since 2009 the company has been on a steep growth curve with the addition of plumbing, heating, gas fitting, and importing the newest in LED lighting technologies.”

LRB’s head office is in Virden with an additional office in Hamiota. The company serves Westman and southeastern Saskatchewan, deploying field offices as needed.

Virden’s Pinnacle Plumbing and Heating is part of Barkley’s operation. Homes and businesses require a complex pattern of plumbing, communications networks, ventilation, and more.

“We have a full in-house design team that can help clients through equipment selection right through to professional, sealed engineered drawings and certifications for their installation.”

Function and interest are key ingredients for home / business lighting. Barkley is especially excited about new developments in lighting lines as LRB has branched into LED Source with one of two Canadian offices and 13 locations across the United States.

“With the addition of the LED Source franchise network, we are able to bring in the latest and greatest in LED technology long before conventional suppliers are able to get it to Canadian markets.”

Barkley is able to pass along a price advantage to customers. “The other big advantage is that since we procure our product directly from the manufacturer, we can get it to market at a much lower cost to our clients.”

LRB is a licenced distributor for both Generac and Kohler power systems with certified technicians on staff. “This time of year, we also see a great deal of activity with stand-by generators and transfer switches,” said Barkley.

With 14 electricians in the field, LRB, along with Pinnacle, and LED Source, employs 41 people to serve the area. (Paid content)
