Rural womens day
Rural life is special in many ways - good - but tough sometimes too.

Manitoba Rural Women’s Day is coming to Virden on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Tundra Oil & Gas Place from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with registration at 8:15 am.

The theme is “Exploring Rural Health Care”. The event, put on by Manitoba Women’s Institute, is a great opportunity to network with other women and learn and share on a topic of concern to all rural women, families and communities.

Speakers include STARS, the Regional Health Authority, Naturopathic Doctor, Pharmacist, Port in a Storm, a Brandon University Health Care Researcher and Laughing Yoga.

In addition to great speakers, the event includes snacks, lunch, door prizes and the opportunity to visit numerous display tables throughout the day.

Displays include: Manitoba Institute of Patient Safety, Manitoba Agriculture, Alzheimer Society, Victoria Life Line, Manitoba Women’s Institute, Innovative Hearing Technology, Prairie Mountain Health and STARS.

The day offers ample opportunity to speak with presenters and network with the other participants.

This is the third year that Manitoba Women’s Institute is hosting this learning opportunity, offered to all women, members and non-members.

Advance registration of $25 for the day is requested.
