During the week of April 19 to April 25, the Westman RCMP dealt with 48 police activities. They responded to the following calls:  

 

April 20 – to Virden for a report of a disturbance at a residence. An intoxicated male at the residence was arrested and transported to the Virden detachment. He was put in touch with mobile crisis, and released when sober the following morning. 

April 21 – to Sioux Valley for a report of an ATV collision. A 16 year old male was transported to the Brandon Hospital with injuries that were not life threatening. 

April 22 – to Sioux Valley for a report that five individuals entered into a residence and committed an assault. The victim sustained minor injuries from a fire that occurred inside the residence. The investigation is ongoing. 

April 23 – to Sioux Valley for a report of a disturbance at a residence. It was learned that a 55-year-old female was in breach of previous Court imposed conditions, and was wanted by the Winnipeg Police Service. The warrants were executed. She was released the following morning. 

April 24 – to Sioux Valley for a report of a grass fire. The fire was extinguished upon police arrival, the investigation on how the fire started is ongoing. 

April 24 – to Virden for a report of an assault that occurred outside the bar. The investigation is ongoing. 

April 25 – to Sioux Valley for a report of an assault with a machete. A 29-year-old female sustained a cut to her hand. The investigation is ongoing. 

One Covid compliance check, two wellbeing checks and 14 traffic enforcement actions were undertaken during this reporting period.
