Tundra Oil & Gas, through the Richardson Foundation, made a $50,000 donation to the McAuley Community Association for renovations to the McAuley rink last week. The donation was presented by Tundra’s Surface Land Rep Jason Lewis to committee and community members.

After converting the curling rink side of the building into a community hall, the McAuley Community Association is currently in the process of building new washrooms and a bar in the hall, and adding a wheelchair lift so that people can access the main floor lobby area of the building from the hall.

The estimated cost of the total project is $300,000. Chief Administrative Officer for R.M. of Ellice – Archie Trisha Huberdeau said last week the $50,000 donation from Tundra will be a big step in moving the project forward.
