Miniota student wins scholarship

The annual Manitoba Canola Growers Association (MCGA) scholarship is open to Grade 12 students from a farm family that’s a member of MCGA. The students must plan to attend post-secondary education in any field within two years of graduating.

The annual Manitoba Canola Growers Association (MCGA) scholarship is open to Grade 12 students from a farm family that’s a member of MCGA. The students must plan to attend post-secondary education in any field within two years of graduating.

Students’ applications are judged by an independent panel based on academic standing, personal canola connection, references, essay submission, and school and community involvement.

The 2021 winners:

Jessica Young of Miniota, enrolled in the Faculty of Education at the University of Regina.

Charlotte Little of Hamiota, enrolled in the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Manitoba.

Kyla Krahn of Mather, enrolled at the University of Manitoba.

Megan Beswitherick of Austin, enrolled in Business Administration at Assiniboine Community College

Samuel Krahn of Rivers, enrolled in the Faculty of Science at Brandon University.
