This young couple from Whangarei, New Zealand found treasure at Elkhorn’s flea market on Sunday.
David Mortensen searched the boxes of old LPs while Tara O’Halloran scored a vintage Brownie camera from Ed James, one of many vendors on site.
The couple came to Canada to snowboard in BC and are spending the off season exploring the country in a modified camper van, dropping in to community markets along the way.
They plan to reach the Maritimes, drive back west through the US and arrive in the Rockies in time for winter sports season.
They were thrilled at the reasonable prices they found at the Elkhorn flea market compared to NZ and enjoyed the friendly people of the community.
