Paul Rhodes: Candidate profile

For Virden council
Rhodes
Paul Rhodes for Virden town council

Paul has resided in Virden since April 2012. Part owner of a bistro in downtown Virden, he has had the pleasure of serving his patrons since 2013. Showcased in the Canadian produced television show named “The Prairie Diner”.

Using the bistro as a center of community, he has been able to create opportunities to support fantastic local organizations. For example, S.A.I.L., the Costume Closet, and The Virden legion, as well as many others. It has been a personal as well as business philosophy that helping others creates positive opportunities for everyone to excel.

Drawing from experience on managerial boards, and executive positions as Chef in Montreal, he creates a positive business environment. For both his small business as well as the surrounding business community. Using cross promotion, sharing advertising, showcasing local products and producers, and lending a hand whenever able.

This has allowed for the unparalleled opportunities to share in the valued and treasured moments in the lives of his neighbours globally. Being able to be part of weddings, anniversaries of many decades, local ground breaking sporting events, and the small personal moments shared gratefully.

When elected to council Paul would draw upon these experiences and friendships made, to help in the growth of our community. Sharing business success as well as personal, to become more prosperous as a whole township.

As always the well being of our neighbours is the top concern. Paul brings the belief that if the focus is on the local populous, then everyone wins.

He would like to have the opportunity on Town council to show that these philosophical ideals are more than pretty words.
