Moose hunting ban angers Metis Federation.

It has taken years of frustrated efforts for Manitoba to come to grips with big game hunting; especially for Moose. However, even with new laws and enforcement in place, there is always someone who would openly defy the laws, in spite of regulations by the province?

It's a never-ending challenge, like walking in a minefield.

Perhaps it's an appropriate time to consider utilizing the "notwithstanding clause" as allowed by Section 33 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Otherwise, if big game hunting is allowed and controlled by the impulsive whims of certain individuals, nothing but stories will be left for our future generations to appreciate.

A sad and tragic ending.
