RCMP respond to assaults

plus break-in at Kirkella

During the week of June 22 to June 28 the Westman RCMP dealt with 65 police activities.

June 23 - RCMP received a report of an assault in the RM of Wallace-Woodworth. The matter is still under investigation.

June 24 - RCMP were dispatched to Kirkella for a report of a break and enter. The matter is still under investigation.

June 24 - RCMP were dispatched to Sioux Valley for a report of an intoxicated person. Police located the individual who was unable to care for herself. She was arrested and lodged in cells until sober.

June 26 - RCMP were dispatched to Sioux Valley for a report of an intoxicated person who wanted to fight people. The individual calmed down and remained at their home without further issue.

June 26 - RCMP initiated a traffic stop in the RM of Wallace Woodworth. A suspended driver from Winnipeg was arrested and released on a future court date. 

June 26 - RCMP were dispatched to Sioux Valley for a report of an intoxicated person who tried to assault someone with a knife. The matter is still under investigation.

June 27 - RCMP were dispatched to Sioux Valley for a report of a suicidal female. The female was transported to the hospital to receive treatment.

During the week, there were 23 traffic enforcement actions
