A new respiratory clinic in Russell will provide COVID-19 testing as well and support for those with symptoms.
Prairie Mountain Health (PMH) is opening a new appointment-based Respiratory Clinic in Russell at the George P. Buleziuk Centre (106 Shell River Ave S.) effective Thursday, Dec. 10. The clinic, staffed by a physician and additional support, is for patients who have experienced respiratory symptoms lasting two weeks or less, such as sore throat, runny nose, earache, cough and congestion, who feel they need to be seen by a physician, but do not require emergency care.
The clinic will be open Mondays and Thursdays from 3-5 p.m. Clinic access will be through the main entrance of the hall. Please bring and wear a mask. You will also need to bring your Manitoba Health Card to register at the clinic. A reminder that this is not a walk-in clinic. COVID testing will be part of the assessment. This clinic will not provide prescription refills or the flu shot.
PMH’s five respiratory clinics are for those that would normally see their family doctor/primary care provider or walk-in clinic for these types of symptoms. They are not designed for those with chronic respiratory health issues such as COPD, asthma, cystic fibrosis, sleep apnea, etc.

The appointment line will be available from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. Anyone experiencing respiratory symptoms, including those who are COVID positive, can attend without a referral.

COVID-19 Testing
The Russell site will also be available for appointment-based COVID testing Monday through Friday from 12:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. To make an appointment, call the same number as the Respiratory Clinic (204-638-2191). Please arrive no more than five minutes before your scheduled appointment, with your mask and Manitoba Health Card.
