I would like to thank the Empire-Advance for allowing me this space in the paper.

I am presently self-employed and have spent my life living within the Municipality which makes the area and the issues very familiar to me.

I have previous experience with other organizations including the Upper Assiniboine River Conservation District and the Manitoba Beef Producers. That experience helps to give me a background in what is expected when you are on Council.

We live in a municipality that relies on agriculture and oil to be the back bone of our economy.

Roads are vital to both these industries, and something that requires maintenance and upgrades on a consistent basis. Our roads are the main area where I believe improvements can be made.

The Municipality is well located near highways and it would definitely be beneficial to the area if we could attract another major business.

It is great to see so many people running in the area’s elections this time, so be sure to get out and vote.
