Fort La Bosse School Division students headed back to school on Sept. 8 as planned. After the first day, parents were on hand to greet their kids. Some students rode the school bus.
At Mary Montgomery K-Gr. 4 school, for example, Principal Brad Hayward patrolled the sidewalk, clipboard in hand, ensuring there was order for students boarding.
Other teachers monitored the exit to see parents and their children paired up after classes were over.
Administrators were working out the kinks to meet new demands, helping children and staff avoid an entirely new kind of danger - COVID-19 germs.
