It’s another year when graduation ceremony won’t be a public event for grandparents, aunts and uncles, or even for parents for that matter, due to Provincial Public Health orders.
However, the Annual Graduation Keepsake edition gives a glimpse into who’s graduating and what our Graduates plan to do. Virden, Reston, Elkhorn, Plainview and Boundry Lane Colony students will all be featured in the upcoming June 25th edition of the Empire-Advance.
Lawn signs and now street signs are also an important way to celebrate the graduating Grade 12s.
Valleyview Co-op played a role in supplying the banners for Virden; and VCI principal Mark Keown, Town of Virden and Manitoba Hydro have all been instrumental in bringing the grad banners to the downtown streets.
“I picked them up from Leech Printing on Monday and they are absolutely beautiful,” says Amber Vandale, representing Valleyview Co-op. She says that grad banners are also being displayed in the towns of Pierson, Melita, Reston and Hamiota.
