Jesse Skelton (l) and Henry Guzman of Coulthard Masonry are helping to apply a base stucco coat this week to one of the charred brick walls in downtown Virden. It's the first sign of restoration at the site in several months.
Company owner Daryn Coulthard says his team will cover the entire wall in gray stucco and repair the brick corners damaged in last fall’s blaze. However, he said his company has not been contracted so far to stucco the blackened wall on the opposite side of the vacant lot.
