What could be better that freshly picked beans?

Kenton news By Karen Anderson

As we continue to adjust to the world around us and with the new Public Health orders on July 17, it is encouraging to have some loosening of the COVID-19 restrictions. Hopefully, there will be more positive changes on August 2 with the 3rd phase of reopening.

Due to Public Health orders in June, the June foot clinic was postponed. But the foot clinic was held on July 2 with 10 clients that included one new client. Hopefully now it can be held every six weeks.

Regarding vaccine records, there may be a delay in receiving the immunization card due to a shortage of the type of paper required to print the cards.

If you are having trouble using the on-line site for your immunization card, there is a number for information regarding vaccine cards: 1-844-626-8222.

Please check the community raised beds by the Kenton United Church for produce. The radishes are finished but the onions and lettuce are ready. There will be beans soon. Small tomatoes are forming on the plants.

It is encouraging to have some events in the community now to attend.

After the vaccine, to protect yourself and others, please continue to follow the fundamentals.
