During the week of June 8th to June 15th, the Westman RCMP dealt with 100 police activities.

June 11 - RCMP were dispatched to a single vehicle collision in the RM of Sifton. A passenger vehicle had stuck a deer. No injuries were reported by the driver, and the vehicle was removed from the roadway.

 

June 11 - RCMP were advised that a U-Haul trailer was stolen from a residence in Virden. 

June 12 - RCMP were dispatched to an address in Sioux Valley for a report of a female being intoxicated and unable to care for herself. Police attended and were unable to safely relocate the individual. She was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells to ensure her safety until she sobered.

June 12 - RCMP conducted a traffic stop in the RM of Sifton for speeding. The driver provided a roadside breath sample that was over the legal limit. After investigating, a 25-year-old male from Saskatchewan was charged with impaired driving, speeding and unlawful transportation of cannabis in a vehicle. He is scheduled to appear in Virden court.

June 13 - RCMP were dispatched to a report of a domestic assault in Virden. Police attended and after investigating, were able to determine that a 30-year-old male from B.C. assaulted his partner. He was located, arrested and released before a judge for a future court date.
