In a span of less than 24 hours, Thompson RCMP charged a 25-year-old female twice for violating the Public Health Act.

On April 17, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers were called to an apartment complex on Cree Road, in Thompson, on a report of a party at this location. Officers attended and could hear loud music coming from the apartment and when they spoke with the renter, they observed a large group of people inside. The 25-year-old female renter was charged with Failing to Comply with a Public Health Order and fined $1296. Officers then requested her guests vacate the premise and return home. None of the guests were ticketed.

The following day, at approximately 8:15 p.m., officers received another report of a large gathering at the same address. Police returned and once again observed numerous people inside the residence, which led to the same female receiving a second charge for Failing to Comply with a Public Health Order. Each charge carries a $1296 fine.

The RCMP would like to thank those who continue to adhere to the Public Health Orders for their continued support and cooperation.
