UPDATE: RCMP ask for public assistance in Bud Paul investigation

The search for the Winnipeg man, first reported missing this summer, returns back to Winnipeg and a burned out car.

UPDATE – Bud Paul’s burned vehicle located

 

A burned vehicle was located on the 200 block of Queen Street in Winnipeg on August 10, 2020. It has been determined the vehicle belonged to Bud Paul.

 

RCMP investigators know the vehicle was left at that location by a male and an unknown female, who took a taxi after abandoning the vehicle. Officers are asking for assistance in identifying the woman.Two months ago, a Winnipeg man was reported missing. Now the search widens to include the Dauphin area and Westman.

 

Bud Paul, a 56-year-old male from Winnipeg, was reported missing to the Winnipeg Police Service on Aug. 7.

Through a joint investigation involving the RCMP, security footage from a camera in the Neepawa Manitoba Liquor Control Commission shows Paul to have been in the store on Aug. 1. This is the last time Paul was seen.

He was with two other people in the liquor store and is believed to have travelled with those individuals from Neepawa to Dauphin in his red Chevrolet Trax with Manitoba licence plate KHE 314.

RCMP are requesting any information regarding the two people seen with Paul at the liquor store and any information regarding Paul's whereabouts after August 1, 2020.
