Virden and District Health Auxiliary Report

The year is winding down for the Health Auxiliary, and once again, it has been a busy one for this group of dedicated volunteers. Our annual Christmas tea was well attended, as was our recent spring luncheon.

The year is winding down for the Health Auxiliary, and once again, it has been a busy one for this group of dedicated volunteers.

Our annual Christmas tea was well attended, as was our recent spring luncheon. We really enjoy being able to provide these social events and are very pleased that so many come out to join us. Your support of these events helps us to continue to do the work of which we are so proud. Still to come before our summer break is the West Man birthday party, where we enjoy serving cake and ice cream to the residents, and during the summer, our second opportunity to deliver meals on wheels, the first having been in February.

With the help of generous donations from our community, we were very pleased to be able to donate funds to be used to purchase new seating for the waiting area of the Virden Medical Associates Clinic.

There is nothing like a rural prairie town, and ours is very fortunate to have so many caring, generous people who recognize the importance of an organization such as our health auxiliary. We thank you all for continuing to look out for those in our community who need your help.

If you are interested in becoming part of the Virden and District Health Auxiliary, our next meeting is May 13, at 1:30 in the Virden Health Unit Board Room. We’d love to see you there!
