During the week of Sept. 21 to 27, Westman RCMP dealt with 60 police activities.
Sept. 21 - RCMP were dispatched to Virden for a report of a domestic assault. Upon attending, the accused had already left the residence prior to police arrival. The matter is still under investigation.
Sept. 21 - RCMP were dispatched to the Melita golf course for a report that three golf carts were taken out and driven around the golf course. The golf carts were damaged as a result of what happened. The matter is still under investigation.
Sept. 24 - RCMP were dispatched to the RM of Two Boarders for a report of a break and enter. Various items were reported stolen from the property. The matter is still under investigation.
Sept. 24 - RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious person in Virden. A male was located laying on the side of the street. It turned out he was taking a break from roofing and was trying to cool off.
Sept. 24 - RCMP were dispatched to a domestic assault in the RM of Sifton. Subsequent to investigation, a 42-year-old male was arrested for assault. He was released with a future Court Date.
A total of three COVID-19 compliance checks, four well-being checks, and 13 traffic enforcement actions were undertaken during this reporting period.
