RCMP report

October 14 - RCMP attended to a residence in Pierson for a report of break and enter. Upon arriving, police located two individuals in the residence. Both were arrested and a plethora of stolen property was located in their vehicle, along with some Methamphetamine. A search warrant was later executed on their property, recovering further stolen items. A 21-year-old female and 26-year-old male have been charged in relation to this incident.  

October 17 - RCMP attended to a residence in Sioux Valley for a report of an unwanted person. Upon arriving at the residence, a male was located breaching his court-imposed release conditions. He was placed under arrest, however resisted. Once control was gained and he was being transported to the Virden RCMP Detachment, he threatened the officer dealing with him. He was subsequently charged with numerous offences including failing to comply with his recognizance, uttering threats and resisting arrest. Another male was located in the residence who was also breaching court-imposed release conditions and he was also charged.  

October 18 - RCMP were advised by a resident of Alberta that a 72-hour alcohol related licence suspension was being issued against his licence. Investigation revealed that this individual was not in Manitoba at the time, and that his brother had impersonated him in an effort to get out of the penalties associated with a 72-hour licence suspension. The investigation into this matter is continuing.

October 19 - RCMP attended to a residence in Sioux Valley to conduct a curfew check on a 23-year-old male, bound to his residence nightly as directed by the court. The individual was not home and will be charged for failing to comply with a recognizance.

October 19 - RCMP attended to Sioux Valley for a report of a sexual assault. The investigation is continuing.  

October 19 - RCMP attended to a residence in Virden to investigate a report of sexual assault. As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old male was arrested and charged with sexual assault.  

October 20 - RCMP attended to a residence in Virden to investigate a report of sexual assault. As a result of the investigation a 17-year-old male was arrested and charged with sexual assault.

October 21 - RCMP responded to a residential fire at Oak Lake Beach. On arrival, the residence was engulfed in flames, which were extinguished by fire personnel. The residence flared up again the next morning, however could not be salvaged. The residence was vacant at the time of the fire. Preliminary investigation by the Office of the Fire Commissioner has determined that possibly a faulty extension cord caused the blaze.
