A man was injured Sunday Dec. 16 at around 10:30 a.m. while working on an oil rig south of Virden.
STARS air ambulance was dispatched to the scene but then redirected to Virden Hospital where the patient had been taken by local first responders.
The helicopter transported the man in his 20s to the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg.
A STARS spokesperson said the man had “stable vital signs requiring critical care” at that time. His current condition and the nature of the accident have not been released.
