Prairie West Recreation and Midwest Recreation are proud to announce the first ever Yoga Festival at Eternal Springs, taking place Saturday, July 29. The mission is to let one’s soul shine and celebrate health and happiness. Prairie West Recreation Rec Director, Laurel Lamb says, “We are offering a variety of yoga classes, workshops and speakeasies…showcasing our rural guides (instructors).”
The idea was a shared brilliance, Lamb explains, “Bonnie Michaudville (Midwest Recreation Rec Director) and I are also close friends and both passionate about our communities and yoga.”
Lamb and Bonnie wanted a location that was in nature and off the grid – Eternal Springs seemed like the perfect location, as it is between both of their districts. Lamb says, “If you have been out there [Eternal Springs] you will see that it’s the perfect venue for this event.”
One doesn’t have to have previous knowledge about yoga to attend the Yoga Festival and one shouldn’t have to feel obligated to participate in yoga; feel free to attend and listen and learn! “We are so excited to be creating and sharing this event. The Eternal Springs committee has been fabulous to work with. We just want everyone to come and try it, in their backyard.”
Lamb continues, “We have people registered from all over Manitoba as well as Saskatchewan so far. It is going to be an amazing event, register early to avoid disappointment.”
