Virden Collegiate’s Philanthropy Club fund increased by $750 after this cheque presentation from student Brandon Martens to Theresa Makarchuk of the Virden Foundation, which holds the funds.
The bulk of the donation is from the Fort La Bosse Teachers Association in memory of teacher Daniel Brick. There was also a gift of $50 in honour of former student TJ Eagle.
The VCI fund periodically makes grants to worthy youth projects.
