Kenton by Paulette WiensImage result for oil caps image

Opening night of Mamma Mia, presented by Virden and District Chorale, took place on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Virden Auditorium Theatre. I (Paulette) felt privileged to go with friends, as I love musicals. The auditorium was packed and we were treated to a three-hour show with only a 15-minute intermission. They gave an encore at the end of the performance and then asked if we wanted more music; and they performed three more songs for us.

What talented performers along with a great director/producer Michelle Chyzyk and a great choreographer, Brenda Gorlick. A lot of hard work was put into the set designs as was witnessed by everyone when the curtain was raised.

Without public support, shows like this would never happen. We are very fortunate to have all this talent in the area. Great show everyone!
