A total of 92 warnings and 56 tickets were issued for the week of April 19 to 25 including:
• 39 $1,296 tickets to individuals for various offences; and
• 17 $298 tickets to individuals for failure to wear a mask in indoor public places.
Officials advise that tickets increased by 167 per cent from last week, and noted that 33 of the 39 $1,296 tickets issued were in relation to gatherings in private residences or outdoors.
Enforcement officials investigate all public health order violations they are made aware of, including large gatherings and rallies, and were present at The Forks last weekend. The public is reminded that abusive and aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated, and criminal offences will be reported to police and investigated.

Officials advise that security personnel from Commissionaires Manitoba are now greeting all travellers arriving at the Winnipeg International Airport to advise on Manitoba’s self-isolation requirements, distribute public health materials and answer basic questions about public health orders.
Since enforcement efforts began in April 2020, a total of 3,896 warnings and 1,236 tickets have been issued, resulting in more than $1.7 million in fines to businesses and individuals.

In addition to a $298 fine for not wearing a mask in indoor public places, fine amounts for violating public health orders have been set at $1,296 for tickets issued to individuals, including sole proprietorships and partnerships, and $5,000 for tickets issued to corporations.
