Hamiota Home Hardware on mainstreet

New lights on Maple Avenue
Hta mainstreet
In the early evening, Aug. 29, lights glow in the showroom window of the new location for Hamiota Home Hardware Furniture store. For Hamiota residents, it's a friendly sight from a building that has been shrouded for over a decade.

Hamiota residents are excited to see their Home Hardware store filling a once vacant storefront on the main drag.

The anticipation in the town of the weekend's Grand Opening event (beginning Aug. 31) is summed up by one resident's comment, "It sure makes mainstreet look better!"
Months ago, a paint job on the corner building at Fourth St. and Maple Ave. was the only indication of the long-vacant, former grocery store coming back to life.
Hamiota's Home Hardware is operated by David Rawlings, who took the store over from his father Eric just a couple of years ago.
