Norway House RCMP make multiple drug arrests

The RCMP remains fully committed to enforcing laws against illicit drugs to their fullest extent. Over the past several weeks, Norway House RCMP have executed search warrants and conducted traffic stops that have yielded a significant amount of drugs.

 

On April 30, 2017, Norway House RCMP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in Norway House Cree Nation. Crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia were located and seized. William Sampson, 46, and Caressa Ettawacappo, 28, were arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

 

On May 11, 2017, Norway House RCMP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence and a vehicle belonging to the occupants of the residence in Norway House Cree Nation. Crack cocaine was located in both the residence and vehicle. Grant Monias, 52, and Verla Monias, 42, were arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking.

 

On May 10, 2017, Norway House RCMP conducted a traffic stop in Norway House Cree Nation. A search of the vehicle resulted in cocaine and marihuna being located and seized. Eleanor Albert, 48; Cory Keeper, 29; and Joseph Muskego, 32, were arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Marihuana.

 

On May 16, 2017, Norway House RCMP conducted a traffic stop in Norway House Cree Nation. A search of the vehicle resulted in crack cocaine, marihuana, and shatter were located and seized. Carter Cromarty, 19; Isaiah Cromarty, 18; and John Robinson, 29, were arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance x2, Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

 

All of those arrested and charged are residents of Norway House Cree Nation.
