The RM of Pipestone held a regular meeting on May 4. Members present were: Reeve Archie McPherson, Deputy Reeve Randy Henuset, Councillor Garnet Williamson, Councillor Sheila Kuntz Kotylak, Councillor Gary Nicholson, Councillor Sean Kirkpatrick, Councillor James Watt, and CAO Michelle Halls.

• RM of Pipestone declined the offer to purchase Lot 6-1-46710 for the purpose of residential green space.

• The following changes were made to 2017 Council Committees: Add - Southwest Health Task Force – Reeve McPherson and Deputy Reeve Henuset.

• Approval for attendance at Southwest Task Force meetings was granted.

• The Municipality will borrow from the Credit Union, by way of line of credit agreement, promissory note or notes or otherwise, the sum of $300,000.00, together with interest at the prime rate of the Credit Union. The Municipality will mortgage and pledge to the Credit Union all taxes to be collected by the Municipality as security for repayment of the amount borrowed from the Credit Union. All amounts so borrowed and interest will be repaid to the Credit Union within the current year.

• RM Pipestone will financially support the Pipestone Playground Committee project beyond their fundraising efforts to a maximum of $75,000; they are authorized to begin their project immediately.

• Flooding as a result of snow and excessive rainfall has resulted in damage to the property of residents of the RM of Pipestone and damage to municipal infrastructure; the RM will request Disaster Financial Assistance from the Province of Manitoba.
