The Junior Varstiy Girls basketball team held their home tournament last weekend. The ladies worked hard and played through the plague that seems to be going around!

On Friday the team defeated both the Vincent Massey Grade 9 team from Brandon 50 - 21, as well as a thrilling come from behind victory over the Treherne Tigers in the evening game 41 - 36! This put the ladies into the championship game on Saturday afternoon. Playing through more sickness and injuries they battled right to the end before falling to the Crocus Plains Junior Varsity team in an excellent game 53 - 42.  They had lost to the same team by over 30 points earlier this year.

It was an excellent weekend of basketball by all players as they continue to learn and develop their skills!  For their outstanding efforts Alysa Remillard and Julieanne Dornian were named to the Tournament All Star Team. The ladies are off to Winnipeg for more tournament action this weekend, as are the Varsity Girls who travel to Niverville.
