BOHRN, Marleen Clemence

Marleen Bohrn, beloved wife of Anthony, passed away at her home with her family by her side, March 28, 2015 at the age of 53, after a lengthy and courageous battle with rheumatoid arthritis. Marleen was born January 24, 1962 in Doel, Belgium.

Marleen was born January 24, 1962 in Doel, Belgium. She lived on the family farm with her parents and three siblings, until the age of 15, when her family immigrated to Canada.

After graduating in Virden, she worked for a local dentist. In 1983, she married Anthony and together they farmed south of Elkhorn, and raised three boys. In 2004, Marleen started working as a health care aide, at the Elkwood Manor, a personal care home in Elkhorn, where she worked until her illness forced her into retirement.

Marleen was predeceased by her father, Gaston, and sister-in-law, Maggie Janz. She leaves behind her husband of 32 years Anthony, sons Steven (Tabitha), Michell (Averyl), and Alex (Aerial); as well as her mother, Maria Van As, of Virden; brothers Kris of Virden; Dirk (Marial) of Yorkton; sister Dianna (Dave) of Shoal Lake, brothers-in-law Bob Janz, Ron (Lynn); Ed (Janice); Gerard (Laura) as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Funeral services were held at the Roman Catholic Church in Virden, Thursday, April 2, 2015 with Father Eric Zadji officiating.
