Tilden came to the Elkhorn/Hargrave area at 9 years of age and lived there until his death. He was a veteran of World War Two and on his return from the war; he began farming, a true passion.
Tilden had many trials and tribulations in his life. The most challenging was losing his sight in 1969 then loosing Betty. But his dogged determination, positive attitude and a lot of help from family and friends, he was allowed to have a very productive, active life. He lived on his farm until Dec. 2013 when he moved into Elkwood Manor.
A true inspiration to many of us. The funeral was held at the United Church in Elkhorn March 4. Interment was at Elkhorn Cemetery. Any donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
