StuderAlice Marie Studer passed away at Virden HealthCentre, Virden, Manitoba, Friday, June 5, 2015 in her 92nd year. She is now at peace and reunited with Henry.

Alice was born at Isabella, Manitoba to Alva and Marion Brad. She received her education there and that is where she met and married Bill Shurvell. Bill passed away in 1971, shortly after they moved
to Elkhorn. There they raised their family. When the family was grown and away from home, Alice went back to school and received her training as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

She returned to Elkhorn to work at the hospital until her retirement. By this time, she had met and fallen in love with Henry Studer. They married in 1987 and moved to Virden. Alice and Henry spent many happy years camping with Good Sams, dancing, going on many trips, as well as an Alaska cruise. Mom enjoyed curling when in Elkhorn and later watching it on TV. She also had time for her family
and enjoyed spending time with them, as well as with her many friends.

Alice was predeceased by her husband Henry, her mother, father, two brothers and a sister, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She leaves to mourn her passing her sons Rae Shurvell of Athabasca, AB and Jim (Brenda) Shurvell of Radisson, SK; her daughters Joan (Charles) McCormick of Winnipeg, MB and Judith (Gord) Oliver of Calgary, AB; as well as 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren.

A quiet graveside service was held at Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Brandon, Manitoba, Wednesday, June 10, 2015. This was followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments
at Sacred Heart Parish Centre in Virden. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to The Sherwood Home Remembrance Fund in memory of Alice.
