Compared to Manitoba Votes, 2016, the Conservative Party with 5,000 new households to canvass, only picked up an additional 116 votes. (a 1.95% increase).
While Wayne Chacun for the NDP picked up an additional 1069 votes (a 119.8% increase). Bit of a landslide there, I would think.
Yes, historically, a PC win in southwestern Manitoba may be as sure as the sunrise... for now.
However, as the years go by there will always be people like Wayne Chacun and others who will cross swords and continue the challenge for change and a better Manitoba.
