Dear Minister of Infrastructure Ron Schuler,
It is apparent, from the recent response of the Deputy Minister’s Office, that the needed replacement bridge situation on PTH 257 for the town of Virden is not a big priority for the Manitoba government.
That is not acceptable. That particular southern access, at one time, was the Highway 1 route that traversed through Virden.
Yes, of course, there are other inconvenient ways to enter/exit the town, but after waiting over four years, one would hope that there would be some high level decision(s) made to do the infrastructure that is needed.
I thank you for your attention to this matter and await your response.
