A year and a month ago I started my journey with the Virden Empire-Advance. Oh, what a journey it has been, but eventually all rides must come to an end. I am proud to announce that I will be starting a new opportunity with the Oil Capitals. So, from now on if you need me I will be located in Tundra Oil & Gas Place. (I guess, I just couldn’t stay away from the rink.)
Working for the Empire-Advance, has been one fun ride, I took a minute the other night to reflect on all the events I have been able to enjoy covering and it has been one great year; Musical Ride, George Canyon, Sportsman Dinner, Virden Indoor Rodeo & Wild West Daze just to name a few.
I am beyond grateful for all the wonderful people that I have been able to work with, and the ones that I got to meet during interviews.
Everyone that has taken the time to read my articles every week, is what has made my job so fun and rewarding. All the people that took the time out of their day to call, stop by or just tell me when they see me that they enjoyed a specific article made my job as a writer all worthwhile.
Although I will miss writing for the Empire-Advance I am excited for my new journey with the Oil Capitals.
