What About The Arsenic?
"Ottawa, and the province will spend $8M on Virden project. The new plant will improve the levels of effluent discharged into Gopher Creek and will allow the town to meet provincial and federal wastewater regulations. (Brandon Sun, 3 July)
Since there was NO mention of appropriate ARSENIC disposal from Virden's water treatment facility, Gopher Creek will continue to be polluted and victimized. That's what our creeks and rivers are for, according to politicians.
The "Out of Sight, Out of Mind" attitude continues to flourish at all government levels.
