The Flin Flon Reminder earned second in the best all-round newspaper category in its circulation class in the Canadian Community Newspaper Awards. The awards were announced last week.
Also in the top three of the category for papers with circulation of 1,250 to 1,999 are The Parry Sound North Star and County Echo, both published in Ontario.
The Reminder also placed third in the best editorial page category for its circulation class.
Former Reminder editor Jonathon Naylor won first place in the best feature photo category for papers with circulation up to 3,999.
Earlier this year, The Reminder won a combined 16 honours at the Better Newspapers Awards competitions in both Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The Reminder earned best all-round newspaper in its class in Manitoba, and best overall paper, best front page and best editorial page in its class in Saskatchewan.
