Club West Rage 16U girls won the Cats Invitational in Brandon last weekend. The girls went undefeated throughout the round robin portion of the tournament, going 8-0.
In the playoff round, the girls defeated the Cats South 2-0 then played Dynamo out of Winnipeg again. The ladies won 25-22, 25-23.
The girls played Providence Pilots in the final. Club West won the first game 27-25, lost 23-25 then got their act together and won the third game 15-4.
It was a long, tiring weekend for the ladies but proved they are one of the top teams in the province. This weekend, they play in Cats 17U.
Club West 14 also played on the weekend. Even though they were eliminated in quarter finals, the girls are steadily improving. We are at a point where we are getting stronger and more consistent on every rally. If improvements keep coming, the girls will be winning more matches not just games.
