Oil Caps fall to Portage Terriers

Scrappy Sunday game ends 5-2 at TOGP

The Virden Oil Caps wanted to treat the Portage Terriers to some down-home hospitality, Virden style, but serving them a loss on a platter just wasn't on the menu.

The Terriers took on the Caps in Virden Sunday evening in a scrappy game that saw tempers flare more than once as the #1 team in points standings pummelled the Caps 5-2.

Virden's two goals were scored by Tanner Andrew and Hunter Cloutier. Meanwhile, Joey Moffatt of the Terriers planted four of his team's five goals and got the assist on the fifth.

Later this week, watch for sports reporter Robin Wark's full Oil Capitals report and profile on Cloutier.
