Southwest Judo members earn medals in Winnipeg

The Southwest Judo Team attended the Manitoba Open in Winnipeg on Feb 22. James Kreutzer’s 6s Ippon (full point) win meant he earned a Silver medal in the U18 -60kg category.

The Southwest Judo Team attended the Manitoba Open in Winnipeg on Feb 22.

James Kreutzer’s 6s Ippon (full point) win meant he earned a Silver medal in the U18 -60kg category.

Brenden Houston beat by Waza-ari (half point) over teammate Tanner Dron in a match to determine Silver/ Bronze in U14 -50kg category.

For Jesse Kreutzer, 4 hard-fought wins led him to the Silver in U12 -36kg category.

Brock Dron had some great matches in his U10 and was presented with his participation award.

In whole the team had some great matches and are looking forward to the Edmonton International Open in Edmonton Mar. 6-9th.
