Virden Jr. Oil Caps Atom A are a 10 and under team that plays in the South West Hockey League (SWHL). They entered a AA tournament in Dauphin in December, bringing home the AA Championship.

In January the team played in the rural Tournament of Champions (TOC) in Oak River. Winning this earned them a spot to compete in TOC in Brandon in February. They met some very hard teams and came out on top, winning both TOC Championships.

Going undefeated in their league the Jr. Oil Caps won SWHL Championship just one day before heading to Provincials in Ste. Anne, Mar. 9-11.

At Provincials they played against Carman in the quarter finals. Losing to them in overtime put us in the bronze medal game. Carmen went on to win gold and our team brought home the bronze medal.
